The Bulldogs have wrapped up a rollercoaster 2024/25 campaign, finishing 8th out of 12 teams in NBL Division Two South with a 10-12 record, successfully retaining their spot in the division for next season.

The season ended with a hard-fought loss to second-place Barking Abbey, who narrowly missed out on the league title to Team Solent Kestrels on a head-to-head tiebreaker.

Heading into the season, expectations were high. With several key players returning from last year’s NBL Division Three South Championship-winning squad, along with promising new signings, the Bulldogs were widely tipped as title contenders. However, early injuries and personal circumstances led to significant roster changes. The squad was reduced to just seven players for the league opener against Richmond Knights, making for a difficult start to the campaign.

Despite these setbacks, the team began to build momentum, notching their first win by avenging last season’s NBL Division Three Playoff Final defeat against fellow promoted side Essex Rebels II.

The second half of the season saw the Bulldogs regain their stride. Seven wins from eleven games after the Christmas break included standout performances against London Elite (5th) and NASSA (4th). Key mid-season additions, including Ethan Djanogly and Hamza Al Hamadi, brought crucial balance and energy to the squad, while improved team chemistry helped deliver more consistent performances on court.

As preparations begin for the 2025/26 season, both on and off the court, the Bulldogs are actively looking to strengthen their roster. Fans will get their first look at the new-look team at the inaugural Barnet Basketball Festival, set for Sunday 7th September at Copthall.

A special thank you to all of our supporters throughout the season! #LetsGoBulldogs
